Notes: Yes, a very popular song which despite repeated vidding I still love. All I could think of was Tony and Pepper when I first heard this, so why not - this vid is selfishly motivated. I love these two together, it is probably my favourite het pairing in the MCU. Temptation not to fill it with lots of showy, shiny Iron Man action and keep the focus on them, I think I didn't do too bad.

Plus clean slate protocol was a pretty big demonstration from Tony - I mean, I flinched when I was watching it and I know it's not real :)

I love their relationship - Pepper is not always the damsel in distress, but does her fair share of the 'saving' too. I hope we see something of them together in the next run of MCU Films.
With vid songs ideas not kicking down my door to be made these days and patchy motivation, I'm really not too bothered if it has been vidded to death. This is just 'my one' and I'm really delighted you think it's a worthy addition.

It's just a vidding thing where each year there is 'that one song' to make some roll their eyes. But I'm at that stage where if it works for me then go with it.

I love this vid though, it is a well-used song but I still love it. I'm glad you kept the focus on them, as tempting as it would've been to go all action-y on it.

Yes Tony was a real ass-hat in IM2 and I would say he may not deserve Pepper's love but he certainly needed it. For someone which such a huge ego it was going to take a while for him to change. I think we see the start of that in Avengers and then in IM3

Tony was a dick in IM2 (and the movie's treatment of Natasha was absolutely terrible, they spent more time figuring out how to frame her ass than characterisation) but I could at least sympathise with his issues with his father and it made him seem a lot more human to me. Then IM3 happened and they had him experiencing PTSD after the wormhole thing, and it humanised him so much that I actually started liking him. He was still mouthy, but they also made him vulnerable to an extent you don't see much in these kinds of movies, let alone with a character as wish-fulfilment-y and ~alpha male~ as Tony is, so that was awesome to see.
And yeah, his growth really took off in TA, especially when he was arguing with Steve and after giving his "Billionaire, playboy, philanthropist" rejoinder Steve's response was basically "that means jack" (and I was fully on Steve's side for that, I started liking him at that point heh. Steve's my fav now besides Natasha). Ok, so I clearly have rambley feels, lmao.

Marvel Super hero films are the only ones I make an effort to see although the last X-Men was rather good. I don't read the comics and they never featured in my childhood - more Beano than anything else. I can't be doing with DC and fifty versions of Batman. Things haven't been the same since Tim Burton.
I'd love to do a Natasha vid but I am on waiting for Winter Soldier DVD and a song that would work. I also need to do some homework on her back story

I've always mostly watched Joss' stuff as well, Firefly's the only show I didn't bother with (but I saw Serenity at the movies with a friend), so when I heard he was doing it I just knew I had to check it out. Ended up totally loving TA (of course) and then going back and watching the rest of them. WS got me really obsessed though, I saw it five times at the movies (equalling my record with The Avengers), I just can't get enough of it.
With superhero movies I tend to stick with the big ones; MCU, Batman, Superman. I watched the original Spiderman trilogy but haven't bothered with the new one, I just cbf. I gave up on X-Men after the first Wolverine movie because it was absolute shit and I heard First Class treated the non-white male characters crappily, so I also cbf with that series now. I know the MCU isn't exactly a bastion of diversity, but I was never able to connect as much to X-Men because there's just so many of them, and only a few get much focus, so I'll pass. I heard DOFP was amazing but I'll download it, I don't feel like giving money to a movie directed by the grossness that is Singer.
Yay for a Natasha vid, she's my favourite character. I'll have to keep an eye out for that vid once you make it. ;)

I only managed to see Winter Soldier once at the cinema due to real life etc. But I must confess it was outstanding. MCU don't seem to be afraid to upset the apple cart and they really did with that one. It's on preorder so I will watch many times once I get my hands on it.
I'm hoping that there will be more Natasha in Avengers 2 - I really wish they'd let Joss do the Black Widow film because that would be all kinds of awesome and we may get to see what happened in Budapest.

I'm personally over seeing women get fridged in movies, so I knew Gwen's death was coming and figured why bother watching it when I know it's going to happen, and it's only going to piss me off. That and I heard the first one wasn't that great, and I had TA to keep me occupied at the time. I love TDK but TDKR totally falls apart on closer inspection, so I haven't bothered to watch that again. I did *like* MoS, but I didn't love it, and tbh I don't hold high hopes for BvS in the slightest.
WS was weird for me, because I only kinda liked it the first time I saw it. It was so intense and even though I love Bucky now, when he was trying to kill everyone I was thinking in my head "Will someone please take this dude out, omg" because he just kept coming after my faves. XD The other viewings I knew what would happen so I was able to enjoy it a lot more, but yeah, the first time I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it. I buy all MCU movies, but for this one I'm hoping they have a Bucky cover for the blu-ray, like they had for Loki with TDW because I'll buy that one no matter what it costs.
I'm kinda worried about Natasha's screentime in TA2 with SJ's pregnancy. I know Joss has said nothing will be changed and she'll still play a big part, but I'll believe it when I see it. Fingers crossed her role is awesome and not diminished because of SJ's pregnancy.
