I have had the company of my dear mother these last 8 days (count them, eight no less). Even at her age (82) she is pretty remarkable, always wanting to help out and driving me nuts with 'what can I do now?' She keeps tottering round my jungle garden pulling weeds, and stealthily washing up (we have a dishwasher), I have to time her alotted 'ironing' duties otherwise she won't stop 'You need to work her like a sheepdog' hubs says or she gets snappy. Thank goodness my daughter keeps her hopping too.

She naps a fair bit so I sneak off to the computer and tinker around with the latest project. In the evening the small glass of wine just sends her off nicely so here I am again. I have just started a new vid - supposed to be a lighthearted Cordy/Angel one but now I am into it I don't have such a clear idea mapped out as I thought I had, so I may switch and do something else. I hate fishing around episodes for clips. Things work better when the storyboard builds first in my head.

The first piece of Firefly related artwork is done. A portrait of Capt Tightpants - It was quick to do and I must confess I am really happy with the result. I wanted to do a piece to put up onto the official movie site to get points just incase I can get enough to start a crew - I am feeling very tribal thanks to Crazywench who suggested we check out crews and join one together so at least we know each other. I know all the Browncoats in the UK are getting excited about the forthcoming World Prem - just wish I could be there with you.

Anyhow here is the link to Nathan Fillion portrait - Any feedback is welcome. I will start looking around for pics for the Prime guests - glad I didn't do another Nick Brendon one.
