Notes: Season 7 Overview - can Buffy turn the tide in the Battle against the First Evil? .I don't normally publish lyrics directly here but the voice is synthesized in parts so it makes it easier to follow - plus there are some really 'interesting' intepretations of  the lyrics out there so this is just to show what I was working with.

I love vidding to Peter Gabriel numbers, many of his songs are structured so there are in shifts in  tone/mood although some can be long and need editing- heh, this one didn't . I guess you 'll see why this reminded me of Season 7 - I hope you enjoy it- Comments welcome.

I tried to capture the feel of that season with it's ever increasing sense of doom and then the shift where Buffy fights back. That the vid is still pretty at the end of it is even better - I really appreciate you saying so.

It wasn't until I started clipping that I realised just how much happened in this season - so many moments that didn't make it in. And possibly more than enough defeats/pain for the scoobs than the rest of the seasons put together - I think I got the balance right though - I wanted to show how Buffy fought back and regained the power.

I've used two other song by Peter Gabriel which aren't that well known. They must trigger something in my brain and I can associate the shows with them. The joys of a 'Best of' album!!

And yes, to me the lyrics especially in the first two verses were so strongly reminiscent of the first half of season S7 I couldn't really visualize anything but that.

I just love the sound of this music. It sounds like it would be a good song to vid to. I enjoyed this, Andrea. It was a good overview of the season and reminded me of a lot that I had forgotten. Nice lyric matching to 'a bump in the basement, a guard in the garden'. Nice work!

I am so totally shocked that I didn't see this until now. (Happened to see your SS awards for it tonight and came here look the vid up) I'll be downloading it shortly and be back with comments, but I so apologise for not seeing it earlier. I've had some heavy duty RL issues on my plate recently, so I just must have missed your post. It sounds awesome so I can't wait to see it. :)

This is a wonderful recap of S7, and really brings out ll the important slayer lore that we finally got there as well.

I'm very pleased you enjoyed it, I loved making it too. The song just seemed right for that Season and slayer mythology aspect so I just had to do it.
