I've spent the entire day doing laundry in the wake of the holiday.  The kittehs were pleased to see us and there was little destruction which was a pleasant surprise.

We had a fab time. A little rain on one day in Paris (not cool when it's an open top bus) but a dry hot spell in Tuscany which involved much holding down of sun loungers around the pool.  I listened to part of an audio book read by you-know-who and loved every minute of it (like having your brain carressed by a velvet glove- damn he has a mighty fine voice).  Couldn't really keep up internet wise as the connection was too slow to tumbl

We caught some of the Olympic and tried to watch the closing ceremony with a very enthusiastic Italian commentary. I'm hoping to either iplayer some of it or get links somewhere. We did rather well.   Anyhoo whilst we were away Avengers 2 news was announced, and whilst I am pleased beyond measure about the Joss Marvel deal,  part of me now fears the demise of any of my favourite characters.  Fandom wise I'm in a real slump. I have art to do for a Con in about 4 weeks and a new Loki sketch that I want to finish. I also desperately want to start vidding but don't feel right. I actually started a vid back in July and stopped it after 10 seconds which is a first for me. Not sure I even want to continue with that project just yet, I feel distracted right now and can't see it changing any time soon which makes me a little sad.

Thanks hon. They have a drought in Tuscany/ Florence - my friend tells me that the water is shut off to Florence each night.

She has a well supply for her property but I have never seen it so dry and brown in the years since we've been going there. Nothing like the UK which had a celebration Thunderstorm when we got back!

You have our sympathy with the humidity. No sleep for you then.

This is exactly how I've felt for the last year and a half. It's a slump that I don't know how to get out of. I even put video to music, about ten seconds of it, a couple of months ago. I enjoyed it, but then got busy again and didn't load it back up. When I think about it, I just think, 'meh'. I don't know what's wrong with me. I hope you can come out of your spell quicker. I haven't been able to shake mine.

I hate this vidding slump. It's the longest (since May) I've had for a few years now. At least I'm still creating artwork. I wan't to vid 'Thor' but the flippin' DVD won't rip and I hate messing around with trying to get source particularly if I'm meh about the whole process to begin with. Plus home life is hectic and I've not been able to impose my selfish time rule on the family.

The kitties are brill thanks - they've found a way to open the door to the room where they are ostensibly locked up at night. Lynxie has a thing for hair and will sit behind you on the sofa and groom your head by licking/chewing your hair. Loki just walks around like he owns the place (true) looking gorgeous. How's your little Loki getting on?
