Arrghhhh.... Dead Computer

thedothatgirlSo it's official. My pc is dead in it's current form. It toyed with us briefly over the weekend, coming back (with enough time to pull off files I didn't have backed up, thank goodness) and feigned recovery Sunday only to die and not return Monday.
We had some parts lying around to try and swap in to see if we (this the royal 'we' - I merely observed) could find the problem but after two days of tweaking time was called. It was due some downtime so J could fit the new 1terrabyte HD that's been sitting around the last week, but now it's a complete rebuild -MoBo, chip, new case the lot.
I have comandeered my daughter's machine - cleared away a swathe of Nick jr and Spongebob crap and have at least PS7.0 installed. So it'll be fan art for the next two weeks. I am a little disappointed - I had some seasonal vidlet ideas half clipped.

mara_sho I won't be able to get a DVD to you this week - My machine was the only one with a dvd burner. I will get one done as soon as all systems are go, sorry hon I know how much you love getting those. I can make awards ready for AvA's special thing if you have any ideas yet. *nudge nudge*
There also won't be any updates to AvA's either - I'm not going to load Frontpage anywhere else just to put up a few changes. I'll just do everything at once when we are back and running.
Of course now I can't vid it means the bunnies are hopping all over my brain.....

And as for the AVAs, if you want you could email me and I could code the updates for you on jEdit (like Notepad but for coders) - if you can ftp from somewhere other than Front Page (via Internet Explorer is a last resort option) it would mean things can be updated quicker?
Entirely up to you, but it would be a way of me paying you back a little?
I'm finalising the AvA thing as we speak - I hope to have something in your inbox tomorrow for it. :)
