The ones to watch...

It's new season TV very very soon (that came round fast) and this will be what I'll be 'watching'
Dollhouse - Whilst I really got caught up in the last half of the first season, I've yet to feel the same intense way with this Whedon show as I do with the 3 that came before. I'm hoping that things will only get better. I've avoided S2 plot spoilers but not some of the huge casting news that has been flying around. The Season One DVD's came last weekend. J is away in Germany for a few days so I think I'll settle down and do a rewatch, check out the unaired pilot and just start mentally cataloging scenes for the two vid bunnies I have so far.
SPN - I felt strange about the finale. I may dig it out and watch it again before the S5 premiere. I guess I'll tune in out of curiosity and because Castiel is pretty. *is shallow*
Bones - I'm loyal, I like looking at David, but will wait until it airs over here as I think I lost patience with the willtheywontthey factor.
Glee - I've heard things about this, I've no idea what it is about so it will be cool to find out. It sounds happy so that's good. More happy is what we need.
Caprica - I'd like to see what Jane Espenson does with the project plus James is doing a guest turn.
Leverage - Fun Fun Fun show.
Catching up on DVD's and late to the party for :
The Wire - How awesome is this show? THIS MUCH *stretches out arms* J & I have just seen the S3 finale and love it to bits. Fascinating slow burning stories that just got us hooked in. Wonderful characters - I think I love a little bit of most of them but have a soft spot for Freeman.
True Blood - We're up to episode 7 I think - We laughed our assess off at a couple of episodes. Nothing like knob gags to get us rolling in the aisles. (is it supposed to be funny?) The credits never get old, too - awesome.
House - I lost track of S5 somewhere in the summer. I want to catch up but not really fussed enough to do rush off and find the missing ones.
Legend of The Seeker - This looks cool and escapism, with swords and stuff - I'll be starting on season one soon I hope.
Pushing Daisies - I never got to see the last few episodes they held back following the cancellation announcement.
BSG - Watched the 3 hour mini series two days ago. I actually have a vid song so I want to do a whole recap from the beginning. Looking forward to it.
Is there something I should be checking out? I feel I may have left off something vital. I may catch up on Castle and Chuck too.

Date: 2009-09-09 10:30 pm (UTC)I've always assumed yes. But then it became unfunny at some point in Season 2 and now I am not so much liking it. :(
That is a lot of TV you are watching!

Date: 2009-09-10 09:31 am (UTC)Apart from news reports, the odd nature documentary this will be the only tv I watch. I don't do reality shows or other stuff. Can't see most of it until my girl goes to bed so it is usually late.
Some are rewatches and PD is just three episodes *trying desparately to downplay the volume of tv*
But then it became unfunny at some point in Season 2 and now I am not so much liking it. :( That's a shame, I'll see what happens, if I get bored then I'll just not bother anymore.

Date: 2009-09-10 11:48 am (UTC)'ol fun. and those credit --oh my. a studio called Digital Kitchen made it (there is actually an extended version they made just for the hell of it cause they liked it so much). They also made the House intro.
Fun facts!
I'd recommend Outrageous Fortune (highly). Imagine Weeds (funny but serious and about a family on the dodge), but about New Zealanders and the lower class (not rich skinny white women). It's great!

Date: 2009-09-10 07:08 pm (UTC)I'm glad to see Legend of the Seeker and Glee on your list. Have you watched any yet?

Date: 2009-09-10 07:28 pm (UTC)Not seen any Glee or Legend yet but hope to be able by the weekend.
I think there's a real mix of genres too in there so I won't be bored hopefully.

Date: 2009-09-14 01:34 pm (UTC)I'm also really liking Harper's Island (which, with Katie Cassidy as one of the leads I'm suprised to find that I like it as much as I do, I figure she and the J's must have really not gotten along at all because she's actually pretty good in this!) BBC3 Sunday nights - there's 13 eps and they're showing two at a time, they're up to ep4 already.
