Vidding Ramblings

thedothatgirlI briefly dipped into the vid chat over at bop_radar journal. There's some fascinating discussion on visualising effects - a real eye opener on how differently some vidders visualise music, and just how imaginative they are when considering effects. I found myself relating to 'clips' rather than effects and had a little trouble ignoring lyrics during the process. I guess I'm not very adventurous or creative but I am making the effort, kind of. I've still got the commentarys and vidder profiles to enjoy - RL has been hectic.
I'm currently clipping for the next vid - back to my favourite show ever , so that's great. Except that I keep getting sucked into watching rather than scanning through the source to mark in/out points. I can't help myself, how can I just skim over Faith begging Angel to kill her, or Lindsey, Lilah and Lee (I've just realized all L's) running through the first assassin/ second assassin speech (it's almost Danny Kaye and the vessel with the pestle). Ah good times. Truth be told I can't wait to get the clips done, then I can open that timeline. It's been a funny old year vidding wise and I get twitchy if there's nothing 'in progress'.
And on a side note if anyone is considering entering the Special Round and has grief with the form on the site then let me know. I've tried it with Mozilla and IE and it worked for us(Me and J ) both times, yet it failed twice for some vidders trying to enter. I'm wondering if it had anything to do with my upgrading the website package. It was alright before that.
