Classical Music experts ?
Jan. 18th, 2012 01:51 pmOk so years ago (1995) we were touring the North East and stopped off at Durham Cathedral where an orchestra were rehearsing for a concert. I caught about minute and a half of the piece but cannot identify it.
I have a theory *g* that it could Vaughan Williams, or another English composer or possibly Scandinavia/Eastern European of the 20th Century. Doesn't narrow it down much. Shazzam has failed, google doesn't find any archive records of music played at a concert during that year although I can find entries which confirm there were some concets in August.
Halp! I'd really love to find it and buy it complete this. .
ETA: I ended putting it on Youtube and someone who subscribed to me (I think the other classical vids were probably why) knew straight away 'Rimsky-Korsakov - Russian Easter Overture Op 36' So my hunch was kinda right as it is very east European ;-)
