Random thoughts

So this tumblr thing can suck hours out of your day right?   I'm kind of picking random convention photos to post and some banners/cards  I have already made.   I also made a couple of simple pieces the last couple of days to tumble but I thought I would cross post here too.  From my experience so far, tumblr is big on images and small on words but I think that may be as I am not following many peeps/communities over there just yet.

The art work  I see on tumblr is very pretty  - definitely seems to follow a trend/ distinct style of intense colours,  or  sepia monochrome in a portrait format ,   and also plenty o'gifs.  Nice to see they increased the gif limit the ones I make presently are HUGE.

Anyhow I made the River Card for a challenge a long while back over at slayalive. May decide to do other characters just for the heck of it.  The other are new.

I've been very much wearing the browncoat lately what with the recent vids and these wallpapers. I've enjoyed making them and threaten to do something similar for the other whedonverse shows.  But for now I'm all wallpapered out.

I do have some icons to post later in about a week or so, I'll mix the fandoms up a little most likely.

 When the pc went kaput I transferred some art files to the laptop and started on some wallpapers - I think not being able to 'create' anything made me want to do it more than ever. 

So I bring you 3 Firefly Wallpapers - This time we have Jayne, Kaylee and Wash - I'll do River, Book, Simon next. Then perhaps new Mal, Zoe and Inara ones last.  Older Zoe and Inara walls are here if you're curious.  I think these have turned out quite nicely.

Phew that ended up being a lot more  than I originally thought.... I may have some 1920 x 1080 resolution versions of some of these if anyone wants one in particular.  Hope you like them, comments are loved.

I would have loved to post a halloween vidlet this year after failing last - but alas as before, still no time, no time.  I did put together a couple of new wallpapers.  I glanced through the caps for 'All The Way' but nothing leapt out at me so I haven't done one for that episode.

I would have loved to have a new Halloween vid/vidlet to post this season but I didn't even attempt to do one (no time,no time)  So here's some pretties  or uglies ;)  instead.     3 Walls and some icons.  I nearly finished the sketch of  Harry Groener (Mayor Wilkins III) for the Hallowhedon Convention and then I find out he has cancelled :(      The line up at the moment is James Marsters, Nic Brendon, James Leary, Mercedes McNab and Mark Lutz.  I've met everybody previously but that's still an entertaining weekend ahead methinks.  

And what about DollhouseS2.04 ??  Damn,  that was great.  And to quote someone from whedonesque discussion  thread I would have liked to see Kennard killed more.  No more new DH until December and then it's double episodes - omg alliteration broadcasting  'its a double Dollhouse December'  I'm toying with the idea of making character/genre vidlets of the show as teasers over November and posting them just about everywhere.

2. I've done that   great vidding truth meme thing.   It is your chance to leave some anoymous feedback or concrit on my vidding efforts/my vids. Many great vidders are  there  so you can comment for them if it takes your fancy.  

And finally I've made this for rua1412 who was feeling blue the other day.  It's my first attempt at splicing people together - I know I said Angel/Willow but perhaps this will do. I just loved the photographs.  Hope you like it.  And words fail me for these things so if you have some particular text/quote/lyric you want on this just say I can easily add etc.
